My Name is Jerry

I'm sorry I haven't written in a while. Right now I'm in Muncie, Indiana. I've been here for a week. I was on the road with Denver for five days before I arrived here.

I'm working on a movie called My Name is Jerry. I'm in the sound department. My responsibilities include placing microphones, boom operator, cable wrangler, and whatever else the sound mixer needs me to do.

I'll be back in Nashville this weekend.

There's a Wideness in God's Mercy

Someone once asked Jesus, "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus answered by quoting what we now know as Deuteronomy 6:5 when he said, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:36-40

The Could Samaritan

A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and the stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead. And by chance a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

A Day to Dream

This past Saturday was the second Saturday in a row in which I had no work scheduled. Even though it was frustrating for me, it was good to have a chance for some personal time.

Last Saturday I went climbing at Tennessee Wall with Karina and our long-time friend, Kate. This past weekend I had set apart for focused and intentional dreaming.

Don's Miracle

Today is Memorial Day. Karina and I went to the river this morning for a jog. When we returned to the parking lot we were met by a man who inquired about the length of the greenway. We told him about the trail that followed the river and then began a pleasant conversation in which we learned a few facts about each other.
